Scary but not Spooky Books for Halloween Readers

People love Halloween. Well, some people love Halloween. Some people hate it. On the one hand, there are boxes of fun-sized chocolate bars and an excuse to pull that old costume (you know the one) out of your closet for one last crazy fling. But on the other hand, there are yards full of crazy death-oriented decorations, weird episodes of your favourite TV series, and children knocking on your door or ringing your doorbell nonstop, letting in all the cold air. Because here, at least, Halloween tends to be the coldest night of the season.
