It is a good ride, with some interesting time travel paradox twists and turns and a cliffhanger ending. But you will find a hero who is not your typical good guy.

Excerpt from The Story Keeper

This would be a good Mother’s Day gift for you or your mom! I just started Lisa Wingate’s The Story Keeper (A Carolina Heirlooms Novel) and am finding it an intriguing story. In a story within a story, protagonist Jen Gibbs is led by a mysterious manuscript to return to her own roots and acknowledge and explore her past.

Excerpt from Step on a Crack

I’ve read a number of James Patterson’s Michael Bennett series, but this is the first time I’ve read the first in the series, Step on a Crack (Michael Bennett). Excerpt from The Cruel Prince

I just finished reading Holly Black’s The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air) and I was not disappointed. Author of the Spiderwick Chronicles and many more faery fantasy books full of rich detail and cunning twists and turns of plot, and always a good sense of humour. I don’t think I’ve read a Holly Black book I didn’t like.
