I think this is the first time I have read something from Connie Shelton’s Samantha Sweet Mysteries. Bitter Sweet is book #5, but you will have no problem understanding who the players are or what is going on. It is a self-contained mystery like most of the cozy or traditional mysteries that you have read.

The Herald Angels Sing, which is book #24 in this thirty book series, and have returned to book #1, Murder with Peacocks, to where it all started. All of the books in this series are named with bird names, as you might have guessed, and nearly every second book appears to have a Christmas theme.
