Autism Awareness During Crisis

I have been pondering, in the in-between times this month, how to approach my April Autism Awareness blog this year. (See my previous posts below.) This is primarily a book blog, so I normally share fiction or non-fiction books that have an autism-positive viewpoint or are good resources for autistic people or allies.

Excerpt from I’ll Be Gone in the Dark

I am partway into a true crime book about the Golden State Killer, I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara.
Despite the author’s obsession with unmasking the Golden State Killer, all of the hours and years she put into it, she passed away before the book was completed and published. Excerpt from The Flight Attendant

Today I just started reading The Flight Attendant by Chris Bohjalian. I’m not sure what I think of it so far, but it looks like it could be a good read. Let me introduce you to Marshmallow, a white and toasted-brown bunny who makes his first appearance in this book.

Excerpt from A Better Man

I just finished reading A Better Man, book #15 in Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache series. Inspector Gamache has been demoted back to head of homicide, which is really where he belongs. The murder of Vivienne Godin is a real brain-teaser. While I suspected the murderer ahead of time, I didn’t have enough to quite be sure. Louise Penny is always a good read!
