Don’t get comfortable with The Whisper Man

This week I am reading The Whisper Man by Alex North, and it is a chilling read. If you like that unsettling feeling that you might have left your door unlocked and there is someone out there… this should be your next read.
Good character development. The timeline is a little confusing to start out with, but it works out. Might not be the best bedtime reading…

Dive into Iron Lake

William Kent Krueger and Cork O’Connor are new to me, but have clearly been around for a while. I have just started in on Iron Lake, and so far it is developing very nicely, with deep characterization, just the right amount of description, and the beginning of an intriguing plot. A good solid police procedural with lots of avenues of investigation to follow. I am about 3/4 of the way through, and they appear to be closing in on the killer, but I’m still not sure whether they have the right guy and that we’ve gotten to the bottom of the motive.
