Pretty sure that I should have gone to sleep about an hour ago, but finding out how this was going to end was way more important.

Rushin' Death

From USA Today Bestselling Author, P.D. Workman!

Russian Deaths

The cold reception Kenzie got from the stranger when she arrived at her mother’s house on Christmas day was nothing compared to what he got when he arrived at the morgue.

The anomalies in the Christmas rush at the Medical Examiner’s Office have Kenzie and Dr. Wiltshire scratching their heads. But things are about to get a lot more personal.

Lisa Cole Kirsch claims to know nothing about what is going on, but is she telling the truth? Even more concerning, is she covering up for her ex-husband? Kenzie would ask her father if he was around, but his presence was apparently required elsewhere. She’s never known him to be unreachable for so long before.

Kenzie is glad that her father is not involved in anything shady. She’s just seeing specters where there aren’t any. But her relief is short-lived.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.D. Workman is one of my favorite authors and can always be depended on to deliver a good solid read. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an excellent story. This one kept me wondering what was happening with Kenzie’s dad. So much going on.

If you are a reader of the Zachary Goldman Mysteries series, you have already met Kenzie Kirsch. This series is a spinoff from Zachary Goldman Mysteries, giving Kenzie a front-and-center position in solving medical mysteries.

“This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can’t wait to see what the author brings us next!”

“Absolutely fabulous as always.”

Author Notes may contain spoilers!

I knew when I finished Gentle Angel that I was going to have to come up with something exciting that happened to Kenzie when she went to visit her mother after seeing Zachary. I had no idea what that would be.

I wrote the next three Zachary Goldman books (11, 12, and 13, which happen after Rushin’ Death) before going back to the Kenzie Kirsch series to write Rushin’ Death, Posed for Death, and Death of a Corpse. So He Drowned in Memory, Their Walls Were Empty, and They Came for Him had to incorporate hints as to what had happened to Kenzie at Christmas without actually having written that book yet.

The things that I knew about what had to happen in Rushin’ Death, how it fit into the ZG/KK world, and the interplay between the various bodies and suspects ended up being quite complex.

“Every single one of [P.D. Workman’s] books has spoken to me … And I have found strength in the books I’ve read.”

“This is one author I certainly will be looking out for, I can’t recommend her enough.”

“I’ll read anything by P. D. Workman that I can get my hands on.”

“Every book by PD Workman that I’ve read has been a gripping one, however different the genres are, going from lighter mysteries to really dark ones… this is one of my favourite, most dependable authors.”

“P.D. Workman is an incredibly versatile writer. No matter which of her books I read I am drawn into a great story and honestly, I don’t think I’ve followed another author that could go from cozy mystery to YA to a PI series dealing with mental health issues. Really enjoy her books!”

“[P.D. Workman’s] stories are so believable and you can’t help but feel like you know these people. You find yourself crying, laughing and feeling the characters emotions. Now if an author can make you cry and feel every emotion in a story, she is one hell of an author.”

“P. D. Workman, does not shy from probing the deep psychological scars of childhood trauma, mental illness, and addiction. Also characteristic of this author, these extremely sensitive issues are explored with extensive empathy, described with incredible clarity, and portrayed with profound insight.”

“Once again P.D.Workman has created an intense psychological mystery that impacts a wallop of thought induction. The writing is so well developed and draws you into the characters story.”
