Teaser Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I’m sure it is probably against the TT rules to use your own book, but I’m going to anyway. After all, it’s my blog! So, I am grabbing a copy of “Deviation, Breaking the Pattern” and randomly opening to:

Henry turned. A cop. Big, heavyset, in uniform. Henry swallowed and broke out into a sweat. His heart raced, and he looked for some escape route. He swallowed again. There was no need to run away. He wasn’t doing anything against the law.
PD Workman, Deviation, Breaking the Pattern #1, p. 167

The Kindle version of Deviation is going to be free this Friday and Saturday! Don’t miss it at Amazon.com!
