Teaser Tuesday Double-Header

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, read the rules at A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along!

I’m going to give you a double-header today, so keep scrolling down after the first tease!

I have just selected my next read, but haven’t yet begun reading it. So I will tease the first line! I am about to read 3 Sleuths, 2 Dogs, 1 Murder by Maggie Pill.

It’s hard to say which is worse: hearing that your gentleman friend has been arrested for murder, or learning that the victim was his wife.

I am expecting to release Cynthia Has a Secret this week, so I thought I would throw in an extra teaser for you!

“You have Cynthia with you,” she murmured. That’s what Esther would have told her. “Even if Mom and Dad aren’t here, you’re not alone as long as Cynthia is here. You don’t have to be alone.”

P.D. Workman, Cynthia has a Secret

cynthia-mockup1One day, fifteen-year-old Carmina Knight’s life was perfect, and the next, she’d lost everything. Her family, her home, almost everything that she knew. Alone on the streets, she can’t trust anyone, but she also can’t make it alone.

Neil Crowther is the investigator on the Knight case. He knows that he has to unravel the web of deceit and track Carmina down quickly, or there will be no one left to save.

–Cynthia has a Secret hooked me at the beginning and kept me interested right to the last page. Filled with intriguing characters you won’t soon forget.

–New favorite!

–PD Workman weaves a fascinating tale… Alone and scared, Carmina would rather take to the streets than trust the police her father has warned her against.  This is a page-turning novel that will leave you anxious to find out how it all ends.

  1. That’s a great opener for the first one. It hooked me right away. With the second, my heart immediately goes out to Cynthia in the teaser you shared. I want her to be okay.

  2. Ha, the first one made me laugh. I like that in series mysteries. Mine this week is from one of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books. Lots of laughs there too. http://wp.me/pZnGI-nr

Yours sounds tense! I think I would like Cynthia.

Tell me what you think!
